Bev Weise has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of talent management, leadership development, succession planning, change management and team development.
She has held positions as an Executive Director, Executive Coach, Trainer and Facilitator, Organization Development Consultant, and HR executive in various organizations within aerospace, insurance, legal, manufacturing, not-for-profit and education.
As Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Director of Executive Planning and Development, she instituted the Organization and Leadership Review (OLR), a process for identifying and developing emerging leaders for the top 120 positions in the company.
As Executive Director of Interlaw Ltd., an international association of 68 independent law firms, with more than 5,000 attorneys in 120 cities worldwide, she directed marketing, finance, operations, member selection, conferences, virtual teams and member services.
Areas of Expertise:
- Create customized mentoring, coaching, diversity and other development programs.
- Develop and implement companywide succession planning and talent pool processes to identify, develop and track key high potential and diversity talent.
- Coach senior executives, lawyers and other professionals to manage transitions, leverage their strengths; change specific behaviors; enhance interpersonal and team skills; and meet current and future business challenges.
- Utilize various leadership and personal style assessment instruments including Myers Briggs Type Inventory, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Instrument, FIRO-B, StrengthsFinder 2.0 and various 360 assessments.
- Plan and execute team meetings, off-sites, retreats and conferences to align with strategic objectives.
- Build strong teams that are geographically, culturally and generationally diverse.
Bev Weise received her M.B.A. degree, specializing in Organization Behavior and Human Resources, completed the Executive Program at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and a postgraduate program in Executive Coaching at College of Executive Coaching. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. degree in History from UCLA.
She is an Adjunct Professor teaching Personal & Organizational Effectiveness at Antioch University’s Graduate Program in Organizational Management. She chairs the Resource Board of a homeless shelter in Santa Monica, where she initiated Empowerment Workshops for residents. She has been nominated for “Executive of the Year” by Los Angeles Business Journal and recognized by Los Angles City Council as a leader in her community.
